Guangdong Meizhou Ceramics exports increased by 175%(2009/12/24)

This year in Meizhou, the biggest increase in exports of goods is no other than the Ceramics. According to Meizhou Inspection and Quarantine statistics, from January to November, Meizhou inspection and quarantine exported 2682 batches of ceramics ,value of 68.53 million U.S. dollars, compared to same period last year rose by 38% and 175%, and exports showed an increase trend by month to month . Products are mainly exported to the EU, the Middle East, the United States and other countries and regions.

Ceramics is a traditional staple export commodity in Meizhou. Meizhou area in the past most of ceramic enterprises to produce blue and white export mainly porcelain process. In recent years affected by the international market, the craft porcelain export market continues to decline, household ceramics export markets are expanding. Conform to this trend, Meizhou export ceramic enterprises increase capital investment initiatively, adding equipment, and actively develop new products and take the initiative to seize the international market.
